Designed to assist you with concerns you have before the baby is born, prepare to breastfeed and avoid booby traps or common mistakes. This class teaches the basic anatomy and physiology involved in breast milk production and breastfeeding. Attendees will learn:

This class is intended for expectant parents or as a refresher for experienced parents.
We recommend taking this class at least 4 weeks before your guesstimated due date.
The instructor is an experienced Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).
- what to expect during the first days after birth,
- feeding cues,
- proper diet while breastfeeding,
- what to do if things don't go as planned,
- positioning for mom and baby, and
- how pumping can assist you.

Postpartum Breastfeeding Consultation
Helpful ways to support you in your breastfeeding journey is education and in-person support. A consultation includes an evaluation of the feeding, assistance with latch-on issues and demonstration of techniques and feeding devices. The cost is $350 for an in-home consult, a personalized plan, report for health care provider and a follow-up care for one full week. Appointments can be scheduled within 1-2 days.
Follow up Consultation
Assistance with on-going issues or concerns following a breastfeeding consultation (after one week). Cost is $100/session.
Telephone/Skype/Facetime/Zoom Consultation
Available to provide support and answer questions using technology when an in-person visit is not imperative. Initial consult: 30 minutes with one week of follow up. Cost is $50.
